Sales Executive
About the role
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned markets, industries, and customer segments.
- Prospect and approach potential customers through calls, emails, networking, referrals, trade shows, and market research.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable machinery and technical solutions in coordination with internal teams.
- Conduct customer meetings, factory visits, machine demonstrations, technical discussions, and sales presentations.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals and quotations with support from the Sales Coordinator and technical teams.
- Follow up actively on inquiries, quotations, and ongoing opportunities to progress them through the sales pipeline.
- Coordinate with Technical, Design, Costing, and Project teams to develop appropriate technical and commercial solutions for customers.
- Negotiate commercial terms and work towards successful order closure within defined pricing and approval guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of leads, opportunities, meetings, quotations, and follow-ups in the CRM/ERP system.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, customer visits, and other business development activities.
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in B2B sales, technical sales, industrial sales, or business development.
- Experience in industrial machinery, capital equipment, packaging machinery, automation, engineering, or manufacturing is preferred.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Production Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and communicate technical solutions effectively.
- Strong prospecting, networking, and relationship-building abilities.
- Commercial awareness and ability to understand quotations, pricing, payment terms, and contractual requirements.
- Self-driven and target-oriented approach with strong ownership of sales opportunities.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and maintain disciplined and timely follow-ups.
- Comfortable using CRM or ERP systems to manage leads, opportunities, and sales activities.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, factory visits, trade shows, and business development activities.
